A project is the unit of work for a team or a product. Each project has its own environments, data sources, actions, views, jobs and audit log. Users only see the projects they are linked to.

ActionRole
Create a projectOwner
Rename a projectProject Admin, Owner
Delete a projectOwner
Open a projectEveryone linked to it (Owners see every project)
  1. In Organization admin, open Projects (or Overview) and click New project.
  2. Enter a Name, for example Support Tools.
  3. Enter a Slug, for example support-tools. A slug can contain only lowercase letters, digits and hyphens, cannot start or end with a hyphen, and is at most 64 characters long. The slug cannot be changed after the project is created.
  4. Click New project in the dialog. The new project’s Overview page opens with the setup checklist. See Quickstart.

Every new project comes with two environments:

SlugNameProductionAccess
devDevelopmentNoopen: every member
prodProductionYesrestricted: only owners, admins and granted users

Add more environments (for example staging) on the Environments page. See Environments.

  • Owners see every project in the organization, with each project’s member count.
  • Other users see only the projects they are linked to, with their role. If they are not linked to any project, the page shows the message “You’re not linked to any project yet. Ask your organization owner to add you.”

Inside a project, switch to another project with the project switcher in the top bar (All projects…).

For Admins and Owners, the … button on each row offers Open project, Access, Rename and Delete project (Owners only).

Choose … > Rename, enter the new name and click Save. The slug does not change, so links and scripts that use it keep working.

  1. Choose … > Delete project on the project’s row.
  2. Type the project’s slug exactly into the confirmation box.
  3. Click Delete project.
